Kent John Assael has hit out at a ruling which paves the way for Margate's abandoned Dreamland amusement park site to be turned into a £10 million Coney Island-style attraction. Thanet Council has won approval for the compulsory purchase of the seafront plot, but Assael, of Assael Architecture, which earlier this year unveiled its own homes-led vision for the site on behalf of Margate Town Centre Regeneration Company, said the attraction would have very limited appeal'.
