In a rollercoaster year, Sidell Gibson lost and then regained the largest project on its books, the privately funded Medina Tower in Tripoli, due to start on site later this year. The uncertain economic climate, and the loss of the Libya project, led to a fall in staff and a drop of 16 places in the AJ100 for the firm. But with the resumption of this project and potential work in Nigeria, the practice is 'cautiously optimistic'.
