What are your first impressions of Glasgow? Brave business signage and celebrated local characters. Kubrick-esque hotel corridors and gridded proto-skyscraper city streets. A city with a real - rare - urban quality at its core. It has a base of exquisite Victorian buildings and infrastructure which seem to have encouraged a better than average response in recent years. And there are spaces still ripe for appropriation and transformation in the long term to suit the needs and requirements of the local population.
