Burd Haward shows winning design for Mottisfont Abbey visitor centre

Burd Haward has revealed this competition-winning design for a new visitor centre at the National Trust's Mottisfont Abbey in Hampshire, which dates back to the 13th century. The scheme, which starts on site this month, will improve the entrance and facilities at the historic priory site. The practice originally won the job back in 2010, seeing off competition from a shortlist that included Niall McLaughlin, Sarah Wigglesworth, Wilkinson King and Cowper Griffith.
