Where have you come from? Bing Thorn Architects, Vancouver, Canada. Arup Associates and Allies and Morrison in London. What work do you have and what kind of projects are you looking for? At the moment a number of private residential projects. I would like to gradually increase the scale and type of projects to include community-based cultural and commercial work. What are your ambitions? I grew up working in construction for a local craftsman, which has led to a very 'hands-on' approach. I am interested in using design and an understanding of working with materials to create a dialogue between the contemporary and the traditional, allowing the ongoing stories of people and place to be quietly narrated by buildings.
