KPF tower approved despite objections by Westminster Council and English Heritage

KPF has won approval for a 169m-tall tower on a site previously earmarked for Make's rejected 149m-tall, 42-storey Bondway skyscraper. Lambeth Council's planning committee waved through the 60,400m~2 scheme next to Vauxhall transport interchange, which had attracted objections, most notably from English Heritage and Westminster Council, which feared it could have a 'negative visual impact on designated views and the outstanding universal value of the Westminster World Heritage Site'.
