With just a few days to go until 6 April, when the latest amendments to Approved Document L will come into force, here's a reminder of some of the essential points. As Kingspan Insulation's marketing communications manager Peter Morgan notes: "The aggregate uplift over 2010 standards of 9 per cent for non-domestic and 6 per cent for domestic can be achieved through improvements to building envelopes alone, without relying on renewables: evidence must now be provided to show that proposals meet current targets and the building achieves the designed performance.'
