Chelsea sets up stadium study

Stadiums Chelsea Football Club has appointed Lifschutz Davidson Sandilands to look at increasing the spectator capacity at the Stamford Bridge ground. The football club commissioned the study to review different improvement options for the ground, which could include building decking over the railway line to the east and the north of the stadium. Chelsea, eager to increase crowd capacity for its fixtures, has previously looked at several relocation options for a new stadium, including the Exhibition Centre site at Earls Court, White City and a proposal by KPF to convert Battersea Power Station (AJ 24.11.11).
