Small budgets and private houses triumph at RIBA Wales Awards

All five of the projects shortlisted for RIBA Regional Awards in Wales have picked up awards, with gongs going to small-budget projects and private houses. Accolades went to Rural Office for Architecture's 'modern interpretation of a barn', a 'brave' private house by Loyn + Co and Davies Sutton Architects' restoration of a chapel left derelict for 400 years, which also landed the scheme's architect, Michael Davies, the region's Architect of the Year Award.
