POBBLE HOUSE

Located on the headland at Dungeness, this house was designed in response to planning policy governing development within the ecologically sensitive surroundings. It is constructed from three sections, the largest comprising living, kitchen and dining areas with bedrooms and bathrooms located in a lower middle section and a separate children's bunk module connected via an elevated glazed link. Thethree modules are enveloped in separate materials acknowledging the surroundings -a Cor-ten steel mesh, larch, and contrasting cement fibreboard. The larch will weatherto silver.
