ACME SEES OFF TOP NAMES IN CONTEST TO BUILD HO FOR SAXONY'S DEVELOPMENT BANK

London-based ACME has won the international competition to design the new Sachsische AufbauBank HQ in Leipzig, Germany. The practice was chosen ahead of 20 other firms including Zaha Hadid, Henning Larsen, Max Dudler and Riegler Riewe Architekten to land the job to create the headquarters for Saxony's federal development bank, accommodating 600 workers. The 20,000m~2 scheme, which was hailed by the jury as a 'visionary solution which is manifested in a striking, distinctive' design, will also house a conference centre, canteen and parking.
