The district of Prague 7 in the Czech Republic has announced an international competition for a new town hall. The project will create an 'open, effective, and smoothly functioning public building on the site of an existing structure at U Pruhonu 38. The building isexpected to supersede the district's existing town hall (pictured) located on a prominent site on the left bank of the River Vltava. District mayor Jan Cizinsky said: 'For the district of Prague 7, this is a historic step. Our district will finally acquire a town hall worthy of the 21st century.'
