When newspapers and magazines launch a campaign requiring supporters they expect to do some work drumming up signatures. But it hasn't been like that with RetroFirst. Since we launched the campaign just over five months ago, the signatories have flooded in. Ourthree key demands of reform in tax, policy and procurement are resonating. The threat of the climate emergency means the throwaway culture that has dominated design and construction for decades cannot be allowed to continue. How can it, when up to half of abuilding's lifetime emissions are expended by the time of its completion?
