TYAA Celebrates 25 Years, Forges Forward

The doubleknit disaster couldn't do it in. Rising tides of imports, consolidations and mergers haven't wiped it out. The Textured Yarn Assn. of America (TYAA) is alive and, on its 25th anniversary, seems more well than ever. In late July, more than 475 members and guests attended TYAA's 25th Anniversary Conference in Myrtle Beach, S.C. With "Textured Yarn Into the 21st Century" as its theme, the conference provided a promise of polishing poly-ester's image as a fashion fiber and business opportunity as textiles moves forward to the 21st century.
