RAMGOPAL HARIKISHANDAS MEHRA

Mr. R.H. Mehra passed B.Sc. (Hons.) from the Bombay University with Chemistry and Physics in 1953. In the same year, he joined the Department of Chemical Technology, University of Bombay and obtained B.Sc. (Tech.) degree in Textile Chemistry in 1955. From 1955, Mr. Mehra continued at the same Institute and carried out research work under the guidance of Prof. E.H. Daruwalla and was awarded the degree of M.Sc. (Tech.) in 1958 for his thesis on the subject of "Absorption of Naphtols by Cellulosic Fibres". During the entire period of research, Mr. Mehra was recipient of various scholarships and fellowships. From 1958 to 1960, Mr. Mehra worked as an Associate Lecturer in the Textile Chemistry Section of the Department of Chemical Technology, University of Bombay. In 1960, Mr. Mehra proceeded to Manchester (U.K.) for higher studies in Textile Chemistry and carried out researches on "Mechanism of Discharge Printing".
