Brands, malls see huge footfalls with the offer of 50% flat discount

Shopping malls in Mumbai have seen footfalls increase significantly over the past week as shoppers thronged to make the most of the 50 per cent discount. Sales, too, recorded a jump of 25-40 per cent. According to sources, many stores in Mumbai malls had to down shutters as they could not control the crowd. A mall in Kurla area even had to call in the police to control the crowd. Department stores such as Shoppers Stop, Lifestyle, Pantaloons and brands such as Vero Moda, Jack & Jones, Only and Levis had offered came out with a flat 50 per cent discount over the weekend. Malls, too, had come out with a flat 50 per cent discount during the weekdays.
