Manhole covers bearing the legend 'Eisengiesserei Fleissner' (Fleissner iron foundry) can still be found in the Bohemian town of Asch, dating back to the middle of the last century. At a special open day last month, the gift to company boss Gerold Fleissner of one of these original products marked 150 years of continuous operation by what has grown to become one of the largest builders of textile machinery.
