In developing its latest rapier weaving machine, the GamMax, Picanol has made the true requirements of the market its starting point. These were identified as: 1. Increased productivity as a result of higher machine speeds and lower downtimes. 2. The ability to weave a wider variety of textiles. 3. More flexibility in switching from one article to another 4. Lower weaving costs. All this and more has been achieved on the GamMax machine, the company says, with various technological innovations to the Gamma machine ― the successful predecessor of GamMax ― further refined, and new technologies and options added.
