Staeubli, a multinational group headquartered in Switzerland remains the leading worldwide supplier of advanced shed forming technology (dobbies, cams and electronic jacquard machines) for weaving machines, as well as weaving preparation systems, its customers, as would be expected, including many of the biggest names in each major market. These range from huge Chinese operations such as Shandong-headquartered Luthai Textile -which has 7,200 employees across eleven manufacturing departments -to specialist European players, such as Italy's family-owned Gastaldi, based 40km from Milan and supplying high-quality woven tablecloths and napkins to hotels, restaurants and airlines.
