Visibility and efficiency bolstered by digital solution Panam Group, a knit garment manufacturer founded in Dhaka, Bangladesh, has implemented the FastReactPlan digital solution by Coats Digital to ‘optimise, connect and accelerate’ its production planning. The use of the technology is part of Panam Group’s intention to increase its forward plan visibility from three to 12 months. FastReactPlan, created by Coats Digital, a technology provider for the fashion supply chain, is a production planning solution designed and developed for apparel and footwear manufacturers. Balaram Roy Chowdhury, executive director at Panam Group, says that since implementing FastReactPlan, the operational efficiency and visibility at its facility has improved. Chowdhury says: “It has become much easier to understand buyer trends, factory loading, plan versus actual and overall production status. We have managed to increase our capacity utilisation by as much as 50% and improve efficiency by 3% as FastReactPlan is giving us the required visibility. This means we have reduced our order confirmation process too by being able to consider open capacity much quicker.”
