Organic Cotton A nature's gift to mankind

Cotton is the most important fibre crop of India and dominates global fibre production with an annual production of 18 million tons thus playing a dominant role in industrial economy. India is believed to be the oldest cotton growing country. Variation among cotton fibres occur because of factors such as soil, moisture, climate, weather conditions, fertilizers and insect damage. The particular variety of cotton is often identified by the name of the country or geographic area where it is produced. Some of the better known varieties of cotton are Sea island cotton; grown off the coast of Georgia, Egyptian cotton; Egypt, Pima cotton; crossbreed of American Pima cotton and Egyptian Sakel cotton, Upland cotton; US, Peruvian and Brazilian cotton; Peruvian and Brazil and Asiatic cotton; grown in India and China.
