Italian textile machinery sector reviving

Preliminary 2010 data drawn up by the Association of Italian Textile Machinery Manufacturers (ACIMIT) show a decisive recovery under way for Italy's textile machinery sector, after a conspicuous drop in production in 2009. In terms of value, Italy's textile machinery production recorded an 1 8 per cent increase with respect to 2009, from 1.9 to 2.3 billion Euros. Exports registered a similarly favourable increase, at +1 9 per cent, reaching a value of just under 1.8 billion Euros.
