The word "web" means different things to different people. To some, it conjures up images of Spider-Man, while for others, it is the World Wide Web. For many engineers, however, the word web brings to mind the pervasive material web used in processes that make the majority of the products we all use. This material-handling application is indispensable in so many diverse industries, yet it is often overlooked.
