How to watch people when they watch TV

Industry experts and broadcast enthusiasts from the Thames Valley region listened intently as Sarah Pearson, the managing partner of Actual Customer Behaviour, explained how people watch television. Based on research and thousands of hours of viewing data, Pearson showed how using sophisticated camera and software monitoring systems in volunteers' homes gives an insight into how people interact with their mobile phones and laptops while watching television. The research was based on nine families with different socio-economic backgrounds and lifestyles. They viewed PVR-enabled smart TVs and used internet players and Skype.
