San Antonio-based SecureLogix develops technology to stop hackers from infiltrating computer systems through outside telephone lines. The company sealed a multi-million dollar deal with the US Air Force in March 2002 to have its Enterprise Telephony Management (ETM) System installed at air bases worldwide and formed a relationship with Sprint to distribute the system among federal clients. With new security holes developing daily, SecureLogix's software and hardware for converged networks are filling gaps open to intruders and hackers. Competition is fierce, however, as companies offer integrated security services, such as combined VPNs and firewalls.
