Judge Calls FCC Arguments In CALEA Case 'Gobbledygook'

Just two days after the FCC affirmed its May 2007 deadline for all facilities-based broadband Internet access and voice-over-Internet-protocol (VoIP) providers to comply with electronic wiretap capability obligations, a federal appeals court judge said the FCC's arguments in defending its original decision to apply the wiretap assistance law to those providers were "gobbledygook."
