Commission Says VRS Providers Must Allow Consumers to Make, Receive Calls From Others

The FCC, agreeing with a petition filed by hearing disability advocates last year, ruled earlier this month that video relay service (VRS) providers must allow consumers to place VRS calls through any other service provider, as well as receive calls from other VRS providers, because restricting the use of such service is inconsistent with the intent of Congress.
