Carriers Pan FCC Proposal to Limit Data On Bidders in June Auction of AWS Licenses

Most wireless carriers and trade groups are panning the FCC's proposal to limit the disclosure of information on bidders in the scheduled June 29 auction of 90 megahertz of advanced wireless services (AWS) spectrum. Nearly all carriers also say the Commission should auction the licenses using its standard simultaneous multiple-round (SMR) bidding format, rather than allowing the use of untested package bidding.
