Entities Urge FCC to Adopt Rule Changes to UPCS Band

Equipment makers and other entities are urging the FCC to adopt changes to its part 15 rules governing the UPCS (unlicensed personal communications service) band in light of modifications being mulled to the rules for the 1915-1920 megahertz AWS (advanced wireless services) H-block. In comments filed in Rulemaking 11485, the companies and a trade group representing them said the Commission should act on a petition for rulemaking filed in August by the DECT Forum.
