FCC's Ability to Achieve Broadband Goals Under Title I Debated in Reg Framework Docket

Broadband Internet access providers have told the FCC that it can achieve its broadband goals under the current Communications Act Title I classification of their service, and that a proposed Title II reclassification would entangle other elements of the Internet ecosystem-such as application providers-that the FCC has said it doesn't want to regulate. Proponents of network neutrality, however, have said that the aims of the Commission's national broadband plan will be at risk under continued Title I regulation.
