FCC Plans Webinar on Robocalls, Other Issues for Older Americans

The FCC's Consumer and Governmental Affairs Bureau has scheduled a May 22 webinar on what older Americans should know about dealing with robocalls and other telecom and video programming issues. The free webinar, which will be streamed live from 1 to 2 p.m. at www.fcc.gov/live, is aimed both at older Americans and their family and friends. In addition to dealing with robocalls, the webinar will cover "information and tips about the value of broadband connectivity" for "staying engaged" and telehealth, as well as how to report suspicious calls to the FCC's Consumer Complaint Center and how to benefit from the FCC's disability access rules regarding hearing aid compatibility, telecommunications relay services, emergency access, and closed captioning.
