Clyburn Hopes FCC Will Continue Rural Efforts, Looks to Future

FCC Commissioner Mignon L. Clyburn said during a Dec. 13 speech to a rural telco trade group that she hopes the FCC continues to work on a number of issues of interest to small, rural telcos during the new presidential administration, including reform of high-cost support mechanisms for rate-of-return (RoR) carriers, rural call completion, technology transitions, and Lifeline changes.
