Hearing Addresses Localism, Rising Prices, STELAR Sunset

During a June 5 Senate Commerce, Science, and Transportation Committee hearing on the television and video marketplace, lawmakers and witnesses from broadcast, pay-TV, and consumer groups probed issues relating to how to promote localism in programming, how to ensure rural communities have access to video services, and what to do about rising prices for both traditional linear pay-TV services and the newer over-the-top video-streaming services.
