House Passes Appropriations Bill With CJS, Agriculture Funding

On a 227-194 vote, the House on June 26 passed a "minibus" of five fiscal year 2020 appropriations bills, including one for Commerce, Justice, and science programs and another for the Agriculture Department. Before passing the minibus, the House agreed to increase by $55 million funding for the Rural E-Con-nectivity (ReConnect) program, while funding for the Distance Learning and Telemedicine Grant program was raised by $25 million.
