摘要

Rectangular waveguide junctions are widely used in antennas and waveguide devices and, in this connection, the study and optimization of their electrodynamic characteristics is very important for practical application. A mathematical model of diffraction fields for an E-plane T-junction of rectangular waveguides with a vibrator-slot coupling structure was constructed using the approximate analytical solution of the equations set for currents by the generalized method of induced electro-magneto-motive forces. The model is characterized by the variable surface impedance along the monopole axis and by the constant surface impedance, distributed over the end wall of an inner semi-infinite waveguide. Multi-parameter studies of energy characteristics for the T-junction in the wavelength band of single-mode operation of waveguides were carried out. An opportunity of efficient use of an impedance monopole as a control element for power dividing between the output junction arms in predetermined proportions is shown.
