Detection of a Pairwise-Correlated Stream of Signals against a Poisson Noise Background

Statistical characteristics of a pairwise-correlated stream of random events have been derived in the generating functional technique. Based on the likelihood ratio obtained, a functional diagram has been developed for a Neumann-Pearson optimal detector of a pairwise-correlated data stream against a Poisson noise background. Some questions of its implementation and operation are considered.
