At present, low-pass filters (LPF) are most frequently used for rejecting spurious harmonics in radio receivers and transmitters. The most commonly used devices employ corrugated waveguide filters or waffle filters [1] whose design is based on the synthesis of low-pass prototypes with lumped parameters. However, neither the constructive properties nor the design precision of such filters satisfy the desired requirements. Methods based on the analysis of lumped-distributed prototypes were developed in [2-4]; these methods enable us to obtain more precise results in a wide frequency band.
