The U.S. telecom market has gone through an unprecedented consolidation over the last two years, and the creation of Verizon Business in January 2006—formed from the marriage of MCI and Verizon—has been a major part of that.rnAlthough there are always challenges with integrating two companies the size of MCI and Verizon, John Killian, president of Verizon Business, is naturally upbeat about the company's accomplishments so far and its prospects as a major global service provider.rn"We think of ourselves not as a separate international and domestic business, but rather as one global business," he says.
