Telecom Dealer Suspended from Trading Network

Wholesale Communications Group will be operating at a disadvantage as a telecom reseller for at least another 11 months as a result of recent actions taken by the North American Association of Telecommunication Dealers (NATD). A special NATD ethics committee hit the Fishers, Ind.-based company with a "level-three sanction" on Nov. 27, 2007, banning it from participation on the association's NTTN trading network until late November 2008. That's a tough penalty when you consider that roughly 600 dealers rely on NTTN to buy and sell telecom equipment to each other, sending as many as 1,500 e-mails daily, according to NATD President Joe Marion.
