Telstra scores a victory but still under probe

Telstra has scored a win and a loss in its ongoing struggle with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), getting the green light on bundling its new digital pay TV and telephone services but receiving notice that it is still under investigation for its pricing of its retail broadband product. The digital pay TV decision, announced in July, gave Telstra permission to offer its telephone services at a discount to customers who also subscribe to the company's new digital pay TV service, offered through Telstra's 50% interest in Foxtel and independently owned regional provider Austar.
