C&C08 ESN Adding new value to your network

As competition heats up in the telecommunications marketplace, fixed-line operators are in dire need of killer services that sharpen their edge and expand revenues. Huawei's C&C08 built-in Enhanced Service Node (ESN) provides a cost-effective solution that quickly delivers a range of value-added services, creating new revenue streams for operators. One of the hottest options is the ring-back tone service, which is gaining popularity among mobile users in Asia. The service allows a subscriber to replace the normal "ring ring" noise with her/his favorite song or whatever sound she/he likes when a call is corning in. SK Telecom, the pioneer of the ring-back tone service, has seen an addition $10 million in revenues generated each month since the launch of this service in April 2002. SK has so far captured nine million ring-back tone subscribers with 30% penetration. The ARPU of the ring-back tone service is more than $2, accounting for 0.52% of the company's overall ARPU.
