Uber is joining the flying car race by announcing plans to launch a network of flying cars to move people around cities, with a goal of putting demonstration projects in place by 2020 The ride-hailing company is teaming up with Aurora Flight Sciences, Pipistrel Aircraft, Embraer, Mooney International and Bell Helicopter Textron to develop electric vehicles for its ambitious flying taxi project, dubbed Uber Elevate.
