The parent company’s nmanagement had indicated that it would use the improved financial flexibility to invest in a nnext-generation network, including the possible acceleration of fiber deployment, the analyst nsaid, adding that capital spending in Germany was expected to increase. DT will own eight npercent of AT&T because of the $14 billion stock component of the purchase price. That nstake should allow DT to receive some $800 million in annual dividends, the analyst said.
