Utilities Group Seeks Spectrum Flexibility from FCC

The Utilities Telecom Council asked the FCC to let utilities share 700 MHz spectrum with npublic safety and to remove restrictions on fixed operations. An ex parte filing by the council nresponded to T-Mobile, which said in a filing last week the willingness of operators of some npublic safety systems to allow utilities to share their 700 MHz broadband spectrum shows that nthe current allocation is "apparently sufficient to meet public safety requirements and the nrequirements of others."
