The White House waded into one of the biggest issues facingnthe FCC and Chairman Tom Wheeler as it finalizes rules fornthe incentive TV auction — whether the FCC should impose restrictionsnlimiting bidding by Verizon Wireless and AT&T. TomnPower, deputy chief technology officer for telecommunications,nsaid the whole administration supports a controversial April filingnat the commission on spectrum aggregation and competition (CDnApril 15 p7) by the Department of Justice’s Antitrust Division.nBut Power also indicated that the White House wasn’t trying to tellnthe FCC what to do.
