It has been proven many times before that there can be no better and bigger way to instill fear inside a person's mind and heart than locking him out completely, on his own, in total isolation. No form of terror can ever be so horrifying than staring down an overwhelmingly endless horde of supernatural enemies, running towards you, thirsting for blood and with the sole aim to tear your limbs apart, piece by piece. All you have to keep them at bay is a regular handgun.rnThe latest installment of Capcom's zombie muddling extravaganza pairs the extermination specialist from Raccoon City, Chris Redfield with Sheva Alomar, allowing players to indulge in their zombie eliminating sprees in super-fun co-op action throughout the entire game. Introducing co-op to a survival horror franchise such as Resident Evil would probably seem like an thoughtful experiment rather than a desperate(RE4 makers desperate?) ploy to adapt to the changing play-styles. Personally, I initially thought that having an ally watching out for you would diminish the stakes somewhat, but that has not been the case as you get to explore new avenues with your partner and that, I might add, further intensifies every zombie encounter. It sort of transforms Resident Evil's signature combat style into an intriguing mixture of tactics, survival and cooperation.
