摘要

This paper proposes an advanced approach to characterizing the impact of alcohol intake on photoplethysmogram (PPG) signals and enhancing the impact of alcohol intake on the specific spectrum. The basic idea of this approach involves the time division of the PPG signal in series. Since the PPG signal represents cardiac motion, the specific feature of cardiac motion is extracted from the subsignal set. This paper investigates which part of the PPG signal reflects cardiac motion and is eventually influenced by alcohol intake. The experimental results to detect alcohol intake are demonstrated by the fast Fourier-transformation (FFT) processing of subsignal data. It is suggested that, in detecting alcohol intake, the appropriate selection of a light source should be carried out by taking into account the impact of alcohol intake on cardiac motion.
