EXPLORING THE INTERSECTIONS OF INNOVATION: THE SEVENTH ANNUAL NATIONAL ACADEMY OF INVENTORS MEETING

The Seventh Annual Meeting of the National Academy of Inventors (NAI) focused on points of potential convergence that support and foster invention, including the intersection of innovation and the future, the intersection of ideas and entrepreneurship, and the intersection of academia, government, and industry. In keeping with the theme of intersections, the meeting featured a broad range of speakers representing institutions of higher learning, government entities, and private industry; included a gala combining arts and patents at the Smithsonian American Art Museum and a ceremony welcoming new Fellows at the historic Mayflower Hotel; and promoted further engagement with innovation at all levels as exemplified by the second annual Student Innovation Showcase and the first-ever NAI Chapter Exhibition.
