摘要

Space exploration has had a long-lasting impact on the advancement of technology throughout the world and the drive for STEM education. Additionally, it has provided an ideal context for design challenges and developing student interest in learning transdisciplinary concepts. Introducing students to space exploration and existing technology such as robotics can intrigue them while assisting in building STEM skills (Grubbs, 2013). Although NASA-backed space travel has made great strides, resulting in technologies being passed down to consumers, private companies and the ensuing second space race will continue to make transportation beyond Earth more efficient, resourceful, and widespread. Such endeavors are more than ever at the fingertips of students and have increasingly become more authentic, as anyone with an idea can move forward.
