The convergence of ict, policy, intermediaries and society for technology transfer: evidence from european innovation projects

This special issue is a follow up to TASM's 'Managing Open Innovation in Current and Emerging Innovation Intermediaries in the Technology Transfer Process', which appeared in Volume 23 Number 1. That special issue focused exclusively on advances in innovation intermediaries, but this issue also explored the convergence and role of information and communications technology (ICT), policy and society in technology transfer activities. A key thread through all of the papers here is that they report the findings from large-scale European Commission-funded innovation and research and development projects. A succinct overview of challenges and priorities of the European innovation system from the perspective of the European Commission (EC) is provided in the foreword by Bror Salmelin, Advisor of Innovation Systems for the EC's DG Connect.
